Description

This mix is fast, easy and as with all our mixes it is made from NON GMO sourced ingredients and includes more whole grain flours than most available mixes. It can also be prepared free of all 8 major food allergens if needed. No need to buy prepared crusts when you can whip up your own and be eating your pizza in around 35 minutes or less. Follow our directions to make 1 to 4 pizza crusts as 4 personal pan sizes, 2 medium sizes to one giant one. Make it thick or have it thin it’s completely up to you!  It has all the great features of our French Bread mix with the right amount of added Italian herbs for perfect flavor and textured crusts to support all your delicious pizzas. You can even follow directions on the package to freeze extra crusts to have one ready whenever a pizza craving strikes.

Ingredients

  • 1 Better for You Bakery Gluten Free Italian Pizza Crust Mix Make it as suggested for pizza crust on the label
  • 4-5 Roma Tomatos
  • 1 tsp Minced Garlic
  • 1/4 Cup Olive Oil
  • 1-2 tsp Italian Seasoning (or fresh herbs to taste)
  • 1/2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 2 Cups Spinach Leaves cut into strips
  • 1 (8oz) Bag Italian Cheese Or the cheese type that works for your dietary needs
  • 1/4-1/2 Container Feta Cheese optional

Instructions

  1. The following recipe is for 1 (12-14”) or a large thin crust. If you make the smaller size you can easily use the other crust for a second pizza or freeze the parbaked additional crust for a latter use.

  2. Preheat oven to 400.  

  3. Put tomatoes, olive oil, garlic, Italian seasoning and salt in a bowl. Stir well to combine evenly then put aside 10-15 minutes to marinate flavors. When done, brush the crust lightly to cover it with some of the marinated oil. Sprinkle cheese evenly on crust. Arrange tomatoes evenly on top of cheese. Sprinkle spinach leaves evenly on pizza then the Feta if you are adding it. Drizzle a couple tsp of the marinated oil over the top of pizza, discard remaining oil. Bake pizza at 400 for 15-20 minutes or until cheese is melted to your desire. Remove and enjoy!

Tips:


Use Roma tomatoes versus other tomato types or you may find your crust gets soggy when cooking due to the juice level in the other kinds of tomatoes.

Italian cheese will provide more layers of cheese flavors versus mozzarella.

Feta cheese is optional if the salt level in it is not an issue for you.
Pizza stones or pans with the air holes in them will yield crisper crust.
